FAQ

FallingTree questions, answered.

Compatibility, dependencies, servers, downloads, and the details that usually cause installation problems.

What does the FallingTree Mod do?+

It changes tree chopping so a tree can be felled from a single cut. The official project offers multiple breaking modes, including instantaneous, shift-down, falling items, and falling blocks.

Which mod loaders are supported?+

Current official project listings include Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. Always match the loader with both your Minecraft profile and the file you download.

Does Fabric require Fabric API?+

Yes. The official project specifically lists Fabric API as required for Fabric users.

Is Cloth Config API required?+

For Forge and NeoForge it is optional on the client and is used to provide a configuration GUI.

Can FallingTree run server-side only?+

The official project says it can be server-side only in common setups. Some configured features, such as certain speed or enchantment behavior, may require the client too.

Is this an official FallingTree website?+

No. This is an independent guide and download helper. The actual mod files are resolved from the official Modrinth project rather than hosted or repackaged here.

Why did the download button send me to Modrinth?+

If the server cannot resolve a matching file through the Modrinth API, the safe fallback is the official versions page so you can choose the file manually.

Does the mod work with VeinMiner?+

The official FallingTree project reports an incompatibility with VeinMiner and documents a workaround involving the Wood group. Check the latest project notes before combining them.

STILL STUCK?

Start with version matching.

Most mod installation failures come from mixing the wrong game, loader, or dependency version.
